How do I view a car?

Viewings are by appointment in Nairobi. Press Book a viewing on the car's page or WhatsApp us on +254 770 386108 with the stock number, and we will confirm a time.

Are your cars inspected?

Yes. Our own mechanic inspects every car before it is listed: engine, gearbox, drivetrain, body and paperwork. What we check and anything we find, including imperfections, is on the car's page.

Is the mileage genuine?

We confirm the mileage against the Japanese auction sheet and the QISJ export certificate, and photograph the instrument cluster switched on. The source is shown next to the mileage on each car.

Can I bring my own mechanic?

Yes. You are welcome to inspect the car with your own mechanic or an independent inspector before you pay.

Why do some cars say "Price on enquiry"?

We use it for rare cars and for cars that have not landed yet, where the final price depends on the exchange rate and shipping. Ask us on WhatsApp and we will give you a figure.

What does "In Japan" or "In the UK" mean?

The car is available abroad and we can buy and import it for you. You reserve it, we inspect it before it ships, clear it at Mombasa and register it in your name.

How long does importing take?

From Japan, about two months: two to three weeks to sail, four to six weeks at sea, then clearing and NTSA registration. From the UK the sea crossing is about four weeks.

Which cars can be imported into Kenya?

Right-hand-drive cars first registered within the last eight years. In 2026 that means first registered on or after 1 January 2019. Left-hand-drive cars cannot be imported.

How much duty will I pay?

KRA charges import duty, excise duty, VAT, IDF and the Railway Development Levy on a value worked out from its CRSP list and the car's age. Our import calculator shows every line. KRA sets the final figure at clearing.

How do I pay?

Only into MNM Motors' company account. We will never ask you to send money to a personal M-Pesa number or a personal bank account. If anyone does, do not pay and call us on +254 770 386108.

How do I reserve a car?

With a deposit to our company account, after you have seen the car or its inspection report. We confirm the terms in writing before you pay.

Can I get finance?

Many of our cars can be financed through banks and asset-finance companies. Tell us the car and your deposit on WhatsApp and we will point you to the right lender.

How does the logbook transfer work?

The transfer is done on NTSA's eCitizen system. We guide you through it, and you can check the car's records and any caveat on NTSA before you pay.
